well it is almost the end of Thanksgiving and I have SURVIVED!! I wish I could say I stayed under 1200 calories consumed, but let's face it, you wouldn't believe me ha! So here's the breakdown:
Calories Consumed: 1550
Calories Used (work outs): 222
So overall not too shabby! Thankfully I am surrounded by very supportive family members, that help me keep things in check, as well as not jusge me when I have a cookie (or 2). My mother even sat down with me tonight to try a new approach to eating that I read in my kindle sample of ëat this, not that". Since I know I want to hit 1200 calories in a day (plus exercise) I took 12 (well I ended with 13 or 14) pieces of paper with food that equals 100 calories (some a little less but 100 was the max). Basically the thought it 12 times a day I get to pull a piece of paper out of my "food baggie"and eat whatever it says. I broke my into 3 baggies, main foods, side dishes, and desserts/sweets. Of course the day wouldn't be complete without a curve ball ... on black friday we eat at cracker barrel, and I am NOT giving that up lol. So I looked at calories/fat/sugars/etc. on the web and chose the side portion of hashbrown casserole, and 2 scrambled eggs (right at 200 calories together) and this way, I stay in a safe range AND i get to enjoy the meal with my family not feel deprived. This also means I still have 10 more times during the day I get to choose foods from my baggies.
yes, I am anal retentive about food, money, and life, but thats who I am, I LOVE control in my life. Get on board ha!
Current Weight: 191 lbs (went to the doctor and realized our home scale was off)
Starting Weight: 216 lbs
Total Lost So Far: 25lbs (yay team!!)
Tomorrow I will:
- Shop till I drop
- miss Harley but know shes having fun with her uncle
- workout and burn at least 150 calories
