I have been thinking a lot about the coming year. I'm hoping to hit my goal weight, I turn 25, I will hit my 2 year anniversary of working for an awesome place, Harley turns 3 (or 21 lol), and I I will visit Vegas for the first time. As I think about the coming year of course I have to reflect on this past year. Lots of highs and lows, but I feel more and more like the me I'm supposed to become every day. So I have decided to make 3 large goals for the year and make a promise to myself that I will do one thing every day to get me closer to me goals. I've been tossing around a few ideas... And won't decide until Dec 31 but some of the ones I've been tossing around are:
1. Record/Remember more events
2. Feel more confident in my own skin
3. Make more dreams into reality
4. Be more adventurous
5. Love, Laugh, Live
Food has been hard while on break from work but not doing terrible. Harley helps by keeping me active even during the blizzards and snow lol

- have fun with my sister before she leaves
- clean and organize the apartment
- grocery shop with some of my Pinterest finds

5Ks and Cookies
So the 5K DID NOT kill me (although at times it felt like it might lol). I did enjoy the time with my family, and I did not hate the "alone" time as much as I thought I would. Yes I ran most of it alone because my brother in law was sick so my nephew stayed home with him. Which was sad but in a way nice, because the whole thing was at my pace.
So last night, during my "I Finished!" high, I decided to get back on track about my eating. I have been allowing too many snacks to slip through the cracks. Either I track them, but don't exercise enough to cancel them out, or I don't track them and secretly pretend they didn't happen.
So of course today we got two more gifts at work (chocolate covered pretzels, and cookies!). and I am sorry, I am not really the "just say no to desserts" kind of gal! Thankfully I had a sensible breakfast, a light lunch (beans, salsa, cheese, and blue corn chips), and plan to have a light dinner (not really that hungry .... just have to keep the boredom snacking at bay.
Overall .... feeling pretty shiny today!

Current Weight: 191 lbs (got my new scale to use ALL THE TIME)
Tomorrow I will:
- behave at lunch at McCalister's Deli
- run/walk 3.1 miles on the treadmill before picking up H at daycare
- have fun at work ... gotta figure out something :)

It's on!
Today has been a good day so far .... I was nervous about not being able to fill H's stocking this Christmas (yes I am AWARE shes a dog ha!) but today one of my co-workers shared a "groupon-esq" deal with me $25 for $50 at an online store PLUS a 25% off code PLUS FREE shipping and garunteed to get here before Christmas!!!! I am one happy momma!
This weekend will be fun as well ... my big sister, brother in law, and nephew are coming for a visit and to run a 5K as a family on Sunday. I will be participating, and I am NOT looking forward to this. I am NOT a runner, so I shall be walking, and while I am happy to do this for my mother (the organizer/master guilt trip artist) I have no want or need to be a "runner" or compete in atheltic challenges with large groups of strangers lol
Saturday though will be a highlight day ... I will be spenidng all afternoon/evening celebrating one of my friends as she preps for her big day (wedding of course!) which is one week from Saturday!! We will be having her shower in the afternoon, and then off to the bachelorette party at the Jazz Kitchen!!
Overall ... I lead a pretty charmed life folks .... now I just have to keep it a slimmer charmed life as I prep for VEGAS in May!!!!!!!!

New Challenges ... New Rewards
So I am back attempting this "dating" business again .... I'm not terribly sure about this but I'm gonna give it my best shot lol Most of my uneasiness does come from this weight loss journey. It's hard when you know some people in the world still see you as "big" or "overweight" but all you want to scream at them is I LOST 25 LBS BITCH! lol
Other than that things are going well, loving the new apartment, and miss H is getting used to living away from grammy and grampy ha!
Also I am trying that 50 challenge thing again .. a little different this time, I got rid of the "no scale" section and that is not in my plan lol Also I made my own tracker sheet because theirs was not easy to mark progres son and actually see where I was.
Starting Weight: 216lbs
Current Weight: 187lbs
Tomorrow I will:
- eat a more protien rich breakfast
- talk a longer walk in the morning and after work rather than just at lunch
- I will get excited for my date ... thats right I have a date tomorrow evening *crossed fingers*
